More than half Caterham-Lola SP/300.R racers sold

Fourteen of the 25 Caterham-Lola SP/300.R 300bhp lightweight sports prototypes to be built this year have already been sold – in just one month since its launch at the January Autosport International Show. The stunning SP/300.R will form the basis of a one-make championship in 2012, alongside the Cooper Tire British F3 Series. Caterham's MD, Ansar Ali said: "We are delighted with the way the car was received at the Autosport show. It’s the first new model Caterham has built for 15 years but, even so, we were bowled over by the reaction and the interest, which led to several deposits being placed almost immediately.
There are many more people who have registered their interest in buying the remaining 11 cars so I’d anticipate that our order book will be filled quite soon.” For a full report, images and tech spec on the thrilling new Caterham-Lola SP/300.R in Road Magazine, see our cover feature in the Road 11 Track & Race issue at: http://issuu.com/roadonlinemagazine/docs/road_11
