Mazda MX-5 hits 900,000 units!

The world's most popular roadster – Mazda's iconic MX-5 – has reached an epic milestone, with 900,000 units manufactured today, over 21 years and 10 months (Incredibly! Has it really been about that long?). The incredible achievement puts Mazda Motors into the Guinness Book of Records. Jeremy Thomson, MD of Mazda UK said: "For British motorists, the Mazda MX-5 is the ultimate expression of our Zoom-zoom philosophy of creating cars that are fun to drive." And, its popularity never ends... as 10% more MX-5's were sold in 2010, despite the economic downturn.
