Legend hits 50
2011 is an auspicious year for one of motoring's biggest legends – the 150mph E-Type Jaguar, launched on March 15th 1961 at the Restaurant du Parc des Eaux, Geneva. To celebrate, Jaguar will be taking the iconic E-Type back to Geneva to the annual Motor Show, to Goodwood's Revival, the Pebble Beach Concours d-Elegance, the Nurburgring Old Timer GP and to a host of Jaguar customer, dealer and lifestyle events worldwide. In its 14 year history, the E-Type Jag sold 70,000 units, making it the world's first mass-produced sports car and was even heralded by Enzo Ferrari as "the most beautiful car in the world."
