Subaru Isle of Man TT Record Video
Subaru have finally released a cool edited highlights video of Mark Higgins' incredible production car lap record attempt on the 37-mile TT Course on the Isle of Man – done in a thrilling 19 minutes, 37 seconds, averaging 115.356mph, in a 305bhp roughly production spec WRX STi (Tein suspension, Pirelli P Zero rubber, exhaust and safety modifications 'only')! Hero Higgins hit the 162mph V-max on more than one occasion, navigating over 200 corners, crests, bridges and, of course, Bray Hill – where he had "the biggest moment of my life." Multiple rally winner and top bloke, Mark Higgins, talks us through the massive high-speed moment, with the aid of front and rear facing multiple cameras, in slow-mo... and it's staggering how fast his reactions were, and just how much opposite lock he had to get on, and off, left and right, to catch it. Genius! Hell of a bit of driving man. Big respect from Road, who've driven the TT course too (with Jimmy McRae in a Porsche Cayman S), but not quite this fast. Balls of steel!
