MINI WRC UK debut at The Rally Show

The MINI WRC is all set to make its first UK public appearance, driven by Spanish WRC star, Daniel Sordo – at The Rally Show, this year being held at Cornbury Park Estate, Oxfordshire, 14/15 May 2011. Just one week after its debut at Rally Italy, the Spaniard will demonstrate the brand new MINI John Cooper Works WRC, designed and built by Prodrive in Banbury, on Cornbury Park's 1.1-mile special stage. This is the first time The Rally Show has been held in Oxfordshire (having been at Chatsworth House, Derbyshire for years). Visitors will also get to see a fist glimpse of the new M-Sport Ford Fiesta WRC in action, driven by World Rally star Henning Solberg (on Saturday 14 May) and WRC-newcomer Ott Tanak (on Sunday 15 May), stunt driver, Terry Grant and rally hereos, MINI legend Paddy Hopkirk, and former British Rally Champions Russell Brookes, Gwyndaf Evans and Jimmy McRae. There will also be a fly-past by the RAF Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, which recently took part in the Royal Wedding celebrations. Malcolm Neill, The Rally Show Managing Director said: "We are extremely excited to bring The Rally Show to motorsport fans in Oxfordshire. It will be the first time the British public will be able to see the MINI WRC and the M-Sport Ford Fiesta RS WRC in action. It will be a fantastic weekend for all the family."
