BTCC Oulton Park countdown

There's less than three weeks to go before the UK’s premier motor racing series, the Dunlop MSA British Touring Car Championship, arrives at the cracking classic Oulton Park circuit for the next three races (10, 11 & 12) on Sunday 5 June. We can't wait! With its undulations and blind brows, Oulton is one of the most picturesque and daunting circuits on the BTCC calendar and has a famous reputation for attracting one of the biggest trackside crowds of the season, drawing fans in from Chester, Manchester, Liverpool and Wrexham and the northern counties. We've had five winners in the first nine races of 2011 – Worcestershire’s Matt Neal, Oxford’s Jason Plato, Staffs’ Andrew Jordan, Warwickshire’s Mat Jackson and Fife’s Gordon Shedden. And it will be interesting to see if Oulton pro, Jason Plato and his normally aspirated Chevrolet Cruze will out run the turbocharged clans of the Honda Civic, Ford Focus and Vauxhall Vectra. Plus there will be supporting categories to enjoy too, including – Ginetta Juniors, Ginetta GT Supercup, Porsche Carrera Cup, Formula Renault UK and Renault Clio Cup. For tickets, at £24 in advance (admission for children aged 12 and under is FREE) visit www.oultonpark.co.uk or call 0843 453 9000.
