Rallyday at Castle Combe
We are big rally fans at www.roadmagazine.co.uk. As such, we are strong supporters of the excellent Rallyday at Castle Combe Race Circuit – the UK's premier rally car show, getting bigger and better each year. This year's event looks set to be another cracker on Saturday 17th September. Rallyday organiser, Darin Frow of the MLR (www.lancerregister.com) said: "It's a celebration of all things rallying. Rallyday brings together the latest WRC cars, Group B supercars and historic and clubman rally cars – not just on display in the paddock, but flat out in action on the track and in the highlight Feature Special Stage. 1000's of spectators and rally fans will be able to enjoy watching precision driving, track sessions and autotest demos. There will be 1000+ show cars displayed from over 60 different clubs, interviews and autograph sessions with a host of rally celebrities, a myriad of trade stands and much more. You can even get strapped in for an unforgettable white knuckle ride in a full-blown rally car or the fearsome Bowler Wildcat 4x4s in the Rally Raid Zone. It's a real family day out full of adrenaline-pumping action." Advance spectator tickets are only £13 and U16s go free. To book and read more, visit www.rallyday.com. Meantime, here's a cool video of Rallyday regular, Alister McRae (who Road Magazine have been out with in a chopper, tracing the late Colin and legendary Jimmy McRae through the forests of Scotland!) in action in the MML Sports Lancer WRC at Rallyday 2010. Wicked event. Get along and see for yourself... and bring an airhorn, and bobble hat, naturally!
