911 GT2 RS Record Run at Pikes Peak 2011
This is our kind of Road trip – done by seven-time Pikes Peak class winner and Porsche nut, Jeff Zwart. He picks up a stock Porsche 911 GT2 RS in Santa Ana, California, make a few safety modifications (and ups power to 620bhp), drives it through Vegas and Utah to Colorado – over 1,132 miles – sticks a livery and the right rubber on, and blasts up the best hill climb route on Planet Earth with its 12.5-miles, 156 corners and sheer drops... and beats his own production car record. Last year, Jeff set the record of 11mins 31.10s in a GT3. This year, he came with turbo-power and knocked 24 seconds off that time in the GT2 RS, doing 11mins 07.869s... sat-nav, air con and all. Credit where credit is due... legend! See more at www.ppihc.com
