Audi A1 Quattro spied testing in Canada

Here's the Audi A1 Quattro prototype, being tested by Audi engineers in sub-zero temperatures and on the low grip surfaces of the Canadian plains around Montreal. The A1 Quattro will ensure all of Audi's range will feature an all-wheel-drive Quattro model, from A1 to R8 super car. At the heart of the A1 prototype is an electronically controlled, hydraulically-operated, multi-plate clutch, located at the front of the rear axle. During normal driving, this clutch sends the majority of power to the front axle. But, if that looses grip, torque is instantly transfered to the rear axle. We can not wait to test the A1 Quattro when it finally arrives. Funny looking little sod though eh?
