PROJECT CAR: Ruby Visits Saab Mecca Abbott Racing

Project Ruby – our fabulous Mk1 Saab Turbo T16S special edition bought at auction late last year – gets a pukka treat this month, as we go to old friends Abbott Racing Motorsport in deepest, darkest Essex.

We get a load of great stuff fixed, delve into the depths of their Saab knowledge, talk about Ruby, tuning, race set-up and fit one of their amazing 2.5-inch stainless steel exhaust systems – with genuinely surprising results.
