At this year's ace, Autumnal, new-look half term Dayinsure Wales Rally GB, it was also fantastic to see the special stages full of glamor and sparkly Olympic fame again – as the role model and super woman that is Amy Williams MBE took part as in the historic event; co-driver to Tony Jardine in a Prospeed UK-prepped Mitsubishi EVO.

In 2013 they finished 26th and took a class win, on Amy's inaugural Wales Rally GB. And they were on course for a similar slot again this year, until they overshot a hairpin and damaged the car slightly on the super-slippery Garthieniog SS14, costing c8-10 minutes. Gutted.

But they still finished a fantastic 39th place, with Amy saying on Twitter: "39th: I'll take that...! It's been a long, hard week at Wales Rally GB, but I can't thank all our sponsors enough for making it happen and to Tony Jardine #suchfun #speedfreak!"

She also paid tribute to all the hard-working marshals and MSA – proving what an awesome ambassador for the sport she is. God bless you Amy! You'll miss the pop, bang, crackle of the anti-lag and all that grey gravel splatter this week... not to mention charmer Tony J!
